Ohio Maple Syrup

March 2018 is here and maple syrup season is in full swing.  We have some of the best sugarhouses in the country right here in Ohio, and in the Amish country areas the small time syrup makers are busy.  The weather has been up and down lately and March is turning out to be a cold month empirically.  We're all awaiting Springtime warmer temperatures and the cabin fever has mixed with spring fever quite well.  It is currently March 17th and 30 degrees this morning.  The birds are active at the feeders and activities inside the home are still confined and lively.  If planning any outdoor activities there is still bold weather constrictions perhaps to cleaning up brush and making an outdoor fire. We'll see how the month ends!
